SummaryAn expert at planning and prioritization, the Producer is a leader, advocate, mover, maker, and game-changer who approaches production with excitement and innovation. This role is responsible for making fair, well informed, and effective decisions in relation to budget, crew, vendors, location, resources, and safety. Focusing on creating opportunity and representation, this role is at the forefront of forming diverse and qualified crews. Infusing enthusiasm and strategy, the producer excels in planning strategic creative solutions, moving the vision from script to screen. What you'll do:
- For smaller projects: Hires all on-set crew members with attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- For larger projects: Hires key crew or another production company to help scale effectively
- Fosters an inclusive, positive, and highly motivated environment of trust and collaboration
- Demonstrates collaboration with project team and partner to ensure strong creative vision and consistency from script to screen
- Works closely with the project team to manage and update budgets and timelines with priority to client needs, maintaining cost efficiency
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, codes of practice, and health amp; safety laws, including COVID-19 safety and compliance
- Collaborates with the iU team via necessary platforms to ensure the project is on track and within budget
- Maintain paperwork organization standards and naming conventions within shared platforms
- Provide opportunities for new and upcoming filmmakers.
What we'll love about you:
- 3+ years of production experience, freelance or full time
- 2+ years of experience with supervising or working with production budgets
- Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, ability to multitask
- Extensive knowledge of key crew members roles and responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of camera, grip, and lighting equipment
- Must take initiative and have the ability to work both alone and collaboratively
- Attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, great attitude and overall enthusiasm
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Google Drive, Keynote, Adobe Acrobat.
