We are looking for an experienced Optimization Engineer to join the High Performance Computing Systems team developing a computing platform for AD/ADAS.
The project is notable for the fact that the development is carried out under the platform, which is completely designed inside ARRIVAL and has a unique set of chips and accelerators. On this platform, we process a large amount of streaming data, solve problems of computer vision, machine learning, and provide data to other consumers. Working with the platform, we strive to effectively use all the computing capabilities of the system, we strive to achieve scalability depending on the available configuration. We also want to provide an opportunity to conveniently and effectively use this platform in different scenarios for developers who are not actively involved in its development.
This goal is a complex and interesting engineering problem. We strive to develop not only effective, but also user-friendly solutions.Responsibilities:
- Creation of libraries of primitives that work effectively on computing units under the control of various operating systems,
- Creating a C/C ++ API for these primitives,
- Acceleration of existing algorithms,
- Development of utilities to optimize the operation of the platform,
- Performance evaluation,
- Finding bottlenecks in current pipelines,
- Development of profiling tools, static and dynamic analysis,
- Implementation and search for existing methods/optimization tools.
Expertise:
- Knowledge of C/C++ and modern language standards (C++14 and higher)
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Ability to perform memory optimizations
- Ability to look for a bottleneck
- Ability to work effectively with various computing architectures
- Understanding the Internals of Digital Devices
- Understanding optimization technologies behind compilers
- Understanding the memory models behind modern processor architectures
- Experience in algorithm vectorization
- Optimization experience for at least one of the GPU/DSP/ARM/x86/MIPS architectures
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- English at least intermediate level
Nice to have:
- Experience with heterogeneous shared memory systems
- Ability to work with Assembler
- Experience with optimization at the OS system level
- Knowledge and experience with computer vision and machine learning algorithms
- Knowledge and experience in developing multithreaded systems
- Knowledge and experience in distributed systems development
- Experience in RTOS and/or Embedded Linux development.
