Job Description

As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, many cities have struggled in response to the desperate need of testing and case investigation. CORE has aided the public health systems, first in Los Angeles and northern California, and then in major cities including New Orleans, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC, and New York. Our first line of response has been testing, in large volume drive through sites, but also at a community level targeted toward the underserved populations. Building on that successful implementation, we are taking the next steps in disease containment by assisting public health departments in effective case investigation, resource coordination, and vaccine uptake among high risk and underserved communities. In this work we are partnering with Georgia State University (GSU), Fulton County Board of Health (FCBOH), and community based organizations (CBOs) in Fulton County. The Community Health Worker Supervisor will supervise the activities of COVID Community Health Responders (CHRs) and provide them with hands-on support in and out the field, coaching, and administrative support to ensure the quality of their work and ensure their accuracy of daily reports; patient communication notes, and data entry across multiple workflow systems. We require all employees to comply with our Mandatory Vaccination Policy. As a condition of employment individuals will be asked to provide proof of compliance to this policy within 30 days of employment.Responsibilities:
  • Provide intensive and ongoing supervision of the CHR team as they engage in the community. Serve as an expert resource and advocate for the team.
  • Develop tools to document CHR’s progress; provide regular feedback, monitor and assess the team’s progress with direction from the data team
  • Liaise with partners and stakeholders at GSU, and FCBOH to coordinate mobilization efforts.
  • Train new CHRs and provide ongoing staff development instruction
  • Contribute to quality assurance and lessons learned by providing feedback to project members across all teams and participate in quality improvement efforts with the data analysis team.
  • Ensure safe and accurate use/storage of test kits.
  • Perform daily inventory, and other organizational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, verifiable good driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Experience working in Fulton County
  • Experience conducting home visits preferred Experience supervising teams in complex environments preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals and individuals in distress
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in English, additional bilingual ability a plus
