The Finance Operations Director reports to the Vice President of Finance. The Finance Operations Director leads Accounts Receivable Collections, Treasury Management, Payroll, and Accounts Payable. This role is a key within the CDC Foundation finance team.Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ plus years of related progress experience in financial roles
  • Enterprise financial systems knowledge
  • Extensive financial transaction processing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Finance leadership to manage key strategies to support organizational mission and goals
  • Create and manage a forecast to inform and advise Finance leadership on the appropriate actions to take to optimize cash flow
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely and the appropriate reporting requirements are met for the jurisdictions in which the Foundation operates
  • Oversees and reviews accounting tasks including payroll, taxes, and compliance.
  • Build relationships with customers of the finance department
  • Partner with IT Team to develop and maintain appropriate management information system to drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability for financial processes.
  • Implement and manage board approved investment guidelines/goals and reviews investment performance for compliance; coordinates efforts with investment manager and approves investment authorizations and forecasting of future cash requirements
  • Generate reports and analytics that provide data for accurate and timely business decisions
  • Identify issues and trends to engage the appropriate teams for action, as necessary
  • Create, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage and monitor transaction processing
  • Work closely with management to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, reporting systems and methods as well as overseeing financial controls
  • Maintains a variety of fiscal documents, files, records (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, , contracts, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail.
  • Organize and direct all activities and staff related to the safeguarding and management of the fiscal resources of the organization and is responsible for Finance operations
  • Prepares and administers the Finance department's budget
  • Document and/or update procedures and policies to support and optimize business practices
  • Strategize with Finance leaders to determine the needs and prioritize key activities
  • Build, train, develop, and manage the Financial Operations Team
  • Other duties as assigned
