Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company’s supply of products and services. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the purchasing strategy and ensuring the company’s processes meet the standards and designations for work quality.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create a firmwide procurement strategy and end to end process
  • Monitor, review and analyse bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts
  • Maintain company budget and streamline costs
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies for the organization
  • Develop and maintain contract management policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a cost estimation and forecasting system
  • Identify potential cost savings opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organisational policies

Requirements

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or any related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in a previous Procurement Management role
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to generate budgets and reports
  • Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately
  • Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills essential
  • Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
